our mission

  • CONNECT TEENAGERS with adults who will affirm their giftedness and belovedness in Christ, as well as encourage their spiritual development.
  • CHALLENGE TEENAGERS to develop spiritual leadership skills and to take an active role in guiding and planning youth ministry events and programs.
  • CARE FOR TEENAGERS by offering a “sanctuary” in which they can practice genuine spirituality, learn from the Scriptures, develop lasting friendships, and commit to a life of service.
weekly youth groups
The delicious chocolate center of Youth Ministries at the Grantham Church. Here, we’ll build a Christ-centered community of young people, exploring together what it means to follow Jesus in a teenager’s day-to-day life. Plenty of silly games and delicious snacks included. Sundays, Junior high at 5:00 p.m.; Senior high at 6:30 p.m. (during the school year)

service & missions projects

Jesus calls us to give ourselves away to those in need. We do this through regular service projects in our community, as well as through an annual senior high missions trip.

In 2006 we went to Zambia! A group of 7 senior high youth and 5 chaperones went to Macha Hospital, in Zambia. We worked with Dr. John & Esther Spurrier and did some light maintenance and renovation type work, plus a kids Bible School camp. [see photos here]

In 2007 a group went to the Bronx, New York City and ran a VBS program for local children. [see photos here]

In 2008 the group traveled with a group of adults to New Mexico to work with Navajo children in a VBS program at the BIC Mission on the edge of the reservation. [see photos here]

In 2009 a group of 20 youth and 6 adults traveled to Costa Rica to serve a brand new BIC congergation in San Jose. We painted classrooms and presented dramas, songs and skits for several area child-care centers for at-risk children. [see photos here] and [Read the full report by youth pastor David Stuebing.]
