Sermon Title: Why I Believe in the Church (And You Should Too)
Scripture Reading: Ephesians 1:3-11; 2:8-10; 3:6-7, 10-11; 3:14-20; Matt 5:13-14; 16:16-18
Church history is filled with embarrassing, even detestable moments for the church. We can see today in North America that the church has largely become an object of ridicule and scorn.
While the church isn't perfect, and we should confess our sins when we've failed to faithfully follow Jesus, Christ himself said the church is a city on a hill. The church is the salt of the earth and the light of the world. Christ said he would carry out his divine program through his Body on the earth. This has always been God's eternal purpose.
In the sermon Why I Believe in the Church (And You Should Too), Pastor David shares why he believes the best is yet to come for the church and what God wants from us as we live in hopeful expectation about the future. Listen to Pastor David's first sermon and view the slides here.
