Saying No For God's Sake

Sermon Title: Saying No for God's Sake
Scripture Reading: Mark 10:28-31; Luke 9:23-26; Romans 12:1-2; James 4:7

It's one of the greatest challenges that followers of Jesus face today in our American culture: saying “no” to things that aren’t good for us (or are of lesser importance) so that we can say “yes” to the Kingdom. But being a disciple means that we must deny ourselves and resist outside forces that often oppose God's best for us. Doing this requires grit, resolve, and discipline. In Saying No For God's Sake, Pastor David invites us to reflect on the need to say no, as we prepare to enter the Advent season.
