Email From the Pastor

Brothers and Sisters,
I woke up this morning with the hymn Great is Thy Faithfulness in my head. I couldn't help but sing it all the way to the church office. God is good to us! He has been faithful to my family and the families of Grantham Church.

Would you stop what you're doing and just thank him for his faithfulness?
This past Sunday I was installed as your new Senior Pastor. Doug Curry and Bishop Ken Hoke led us in a meaningful time of worship together. If you were there, you likely sensed the sweet presence of the Lord. It blessed me to hear you sing out praises to God and celebrate his work among us. It was a special time for my family. Lanna and I were moved to tears.
Friends, you have given us a warm welcome. We have felt your love in the months leading up to our arrival. Thank you for the cards, the messages, the help moving, the prepared meals, and the friendly faces. I also want to thank Pastor John Yeatts and the church board for helping to bring Grantham Church to a place of healing and hopeful expectation through their leadership. The Father is rewarding your faithfulness to the cause of Christ.
As I said in the service, I'm honored and humbled to serve you in this new season of church life. I look forward to knowing and growing with you in the years ahead. I'm praying for you. Please pray for each other. Our prayers and our diligence in following Jesus together are the recipe for a fresh move of the Holy Spirit in our lives and our church.
Let's celebrate what God has done, is doing, and wants to do in the future. And join me in singing about his faithfulness today.
P.S. I hope you will join us for one of the upcoming ice cream socials. Mark your calendars and plan to attend on Wed, July 6th or July 13 at 7 p.m.  Also, remember that I'll be out this Sunday for General Conference. I'll be preaching my first sermon on Sun, July 17.
Grace & Peace,
Pastor David Flowers
