Sadness is normal. There is a lot in this world that shouldbother us. So, we shouldn’t hide our pain and grief for fear that we will be judged. As we see in Christ and the Scriptures, sadness can reveal that you’re alive and that something isn’t right. Sadness cries out for healing. It’s only when it defines and controls you that it’s a problem—like a dark cloud hanging over us, it blocks out the light. Prolonged sadness leads to depression, and depression leads to despair. In Dealing with Depression, Pastor David shares a balanced approach to overcoming the darkness in our lives.

Living with Joy

Sermon Title:  Living with Joy
Scripture Reading:  Matthew 6:19-34; John 10:10; 15:9-12; Philippians 4:6-8

Jesus said that he came to give us abundant life. He wants his joy to be complete in us. But what does that mean and how does that happen? And if Jesus offers us his life, why do many Christians continually live with fear, anxiety, and depression, instead of living with joy? In Living with Joy, Pastor David shares how we must discipline ourselves to abide in Christ and seek his Kingdom before everything else.
