Sermon Title: Ask, Seek, Knock
Scripture Reading: Jeremiah 29:13; Matthew 6:33; 7:7-11; 1 Corinthians 9:24-27
The Scriptures tell us that if we want to grow in our faith we must purposely seek the Lord. Just coasting or going through the motions will not bring about the change we want to see. Do you have a spiritual or physical need? Do you have nagging questions? Are you feeling cynical and hopeless? Do you want God to deepen your faith and fashion you to be more like Christ? Whatever you need, Jesus tells us to seek the Kingdom first. He says we should ask, seek, and knock—all actions that we take to deepen our faith. That is how the Spirit partners with us and brings about change. In our fall kickoff message, Pastor David invites us to be intentional in our pursuit of Christ by engaging with what God is doing in and through the church.
