Sermon Title: Dealing with Depression
Scripture Reading: Psalm 6; Philippians 4:4-9; 2 Corinthians 4:6-12, 16-18
Sadness is normal. There is a lot in this world that should bother us. So, we shouldn’t hide our pain and grief for fear that we will be judged. As we see in Christ and the Scriptures, sadness can reveal that you’re alive and that something isn’t right. Sadness cries out for healing. It’s only when it defines and controls you that it’s a problem—like a dark cloud hanging over us, it blocks out the light. Prolonged sadness leads to depression, and depression leads to despair. In this message, Pastor David shares a balanced approach to overcoming the darkness in our lives.
