Sermon Series: Spiritual and Religious
Sermon Title: Spiritual But Not Religious?
Scripture Reading: Deuteronomy 11:16; Proverbs 4:23; John 1:38; Philippians 1:9-11
It would appear that religion is on the decline today, but that’s not actually the case. Instead, a growing number of Americans are expressing their “religion” outside the walls of a mosque, synagogue, or a church. While some of that is because folks are disillusioned with organized religion and are seeking to save their faith, many more have simply embraced a secular spirituality. In Spiritual But Not Religious? (2 of 7), Pastor David shares how we are all religious beings by nature. The question is: “What do we love and are we aware of the liturgical forces that are shaping us, for better or for worse?”
