In our Money, Sex & Power series, we've seen how money and sex have been idolized and not treated as scared gifts. But what about power? Power is usually talked about the least, but it is actually the most destructive when it is misused, especially in the Body of Christ. Power can create or destroy; bring life or death. Power can be wielded to build up or tear down. What are we doing with the power we've been given? In Redeeming Power (3 of 3), Pastor David challenges us to trust in the power of self-sacrificial love and give up on the desire to control.

Nothing has been as divisive in the church and the broader culture today than issues related to human sexuality. Since the beginning of the sexual revolution in the mid-twentieth century, American society has idolized sex, and we're still seeing the ongoing fallout of a sex-crazed culture. If the church is ever going to offer a fresh Christian vision of sexuality, we must stop reacting, as well as conforming, to the world around us. In Redeeming Sex (2 of 3), Pastor David challenges us to see sex as a sacred gift for marriage and encourages those who are single to devote themselves fully to the work of the Kingdom.

Idolatry is the sin from which all other sins come about in our lives. But unfortunately, many people don't recognize what an idol looks like today and so they don't know how to let go of it in order to receive what only God can give us. Money, sex, and power are three of God's greatest gifts that too often become idols of the heart. In Redeeming Money (1 of 3), Pastor David challenges us to consider whether money is an idol of our heart, and then he invites us to get our life from Christ alone.
